Our story
An unlikely discovery
in Christchurch.
12d Synergy was born in 2011 to help the Stronger Christchurch Infrastructure Rebuild Team (SCIRT) rebuild after the devastating earthquakes. It was here that our founders Joel Gregory and Richard Stoliar made an unlikely discovery that quickly became an obsession.
They discovered that how we work and the data we create has fundamentally changed — but the systems we use haven't. Existing tools were either too generic for the AEC industry or too complex and expensive, leaving work to decay into a chaos of mismanaged documents and emails lost across isolated systems.
So they built 12d Synergy to be the sweet spot: powerful enough for the industry, yet easy to use and affordable. Today, 12d Synergy helps thousands of users across the world work smarter.
