In early 2020 when COVID-19 entered our vocabulary and communities, City of Newcastle, like many organisations, moved to working from home. Immediately, the engineering design team was faced with a considerable obstacle: how to manage large complex data sets while maintaining data integrity and speed, over the internet. This webinar tells the story of how City of Newcastle overcame traditional management obstacles to achieve a rapid digital transformation against the COVID-19 crisis in just 4 weeks by implementing 12d Synergy. This “generational change” set a course of evolution for the council that would far outlast the crisis.

About the Presenter
Richard Clarke is a Senior Civil Designer with 32 years experience in road and civil projects of all sizes. Having served with multiple organisations spanning both the private and public sectors, he is currently a Senior Civil Project Officer at City of Newcastle. Richard has a Degree in Surveying, as well as a Degree in Social Science (Psychology). He currently lives in the Lake Macquarie region, NSW, where he enjoys spending time with his family, hiking and kayaking.
